Sigal Zilcha-Mano is a licensed clinical psychologist and a full professor of clinical psychology in the Department of Psychology, University of Haifa. Sigal is currently engaged in the study of individual-specific mechanisms of change in psychotherapy. She is most interested in separating the trait-like patient characteristics from state-like changes in those mechanisms that occur in the course of treatment and drive change in psychotherapy. In particular, she is interested in understanding how the two components interact in predicting treatment outcome, and how a deep understanding of such interactions can be used in tailoring the treatment to each individual. process and outcome of treatment.
