Yael graduated her bachelor’s student in psychology and human services. She served as a research assistant. As part of the role, Yael coded emotions during therapy sessions and analyzed the data with the aim of automatic emotion coding. In addition, she transcribed therapy videos for the purpose of training therapists in collaborative research with the University of Canada.
